Come Republic Day, Telangana Police is set to receive 20 gallantry and police service awards from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A total of 275 police medals will be given by the Ministry, out of which police personnel from Telangana will receive two President’s Medals for distinguished service; six gallantry medals and 12 medals for meritorious service.
Telangana Additional DGP Soumya Mishra and Devendra Singh Chauhan have been chosen for the Rashtrapati Visisht Seva Medals. The six personnel who will receive the gallantry medal are Vadicharla Srinivas (Police Constable); Naliveni Harish (Police Constable); Gaddipogula Anjaiah; Boorka Sunil Kumar; Mohammed Ayyub (Police Constable) and P Satish (Police Constable).
Police officials who will receive medals for meritorious service include Jacob Parimala Hana, DIG Police; D Chandraiah ASP; Kokku Veeraiah Additional Commandant; Narukulla Thrinath, Commandant; N Venkateswarulu (Superintendent of Police); P Naresh Reddy, ACP; Sriramula Mohan Kumar, ACP; Bellam Jayachandra, SI; G Yeshupadham, Assistant Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police; Jangaiah, Head Constable and M Surender Reddy, SI.
