Telangana makes rapid progress, says Home Minister

The Independence Day celebrations were held on Tuesday at the Police Parade Ground here.

State Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali was the Chief Guest and unfurled the National Flag.

Later, the Minister received a salute from the police. On this occasion, the Minister conveyed his Independence Day greetings to the people of the district, officials, non-officials and public representatives.

On this occasion, the Minister briefly explained the progress report of the development and welfare programs undertaken by the government. The State make rapid progress, he said The Minister honoured the families of the freedom fighters. Also, the programs implemented by various departments and the progress achieved were displayed.

The Minister presented certificates of appreciation to the officers and employees who provided the best services and visited the stalls set up by various departments.

Cultural performances by school students entertained the guests during the celebrations.
