District Collector C Narayana Reddy on Thursday said that the State government has directed the district administration celebrate September 17 as ‘Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam.’
On Thursday, the Collector held a meeting with district officials through teleconference on the preparations for the 17th Public Governance Day.
He said that the national flag would be hoisted on all government offices, offices of local bodies and gram panchayats.
Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will unfurl the national flag at 10 am at the Police Parade Grounds in Nalgonda. He directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements at the Police Parade Grounds.
Apart from students, all Anganwadi, ASHA workers and employees have been asked to attend these programmes. The District Education Officers and DPROs have been directed to organise cultural programmes involving students.
District Superintendent of Police Sarat Chandra Pawar said that necessary arrangements would be made for the celebration at the Police Parade Grounds.
Additional Collector J Srinivas said that all necessary arrangements will be made as per the directions of the District Collector.
On the occasion, officials of various departments were present.
