Telangana role model in governance: Harish

Health Minister Harish Rao said that Telangana is a role model for the country in governance and technological advancement at the 4th edition of the CFO conclave organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The event, held on Friday, brought together CFOs and corporate professionals to discuss the transformative power of technology, sustainability practices and effective governance.
During his inaugural address, Health Minister Harish Rao highlighted the crucial role of CFOs in any organisation, emphasising their need to be well-versed in technology. He urged CFOs to adopt national and international best practices to strengthen both their organizations and the Indian economy.
He praised the growth story of Telangana over the last nine years, “The TS government invested over Rs 40,000 crore to build a robust power distribution system.
The government has also proactively embraced digital technologies. Telangana is now the largest producer of paddy. Moreover, treated drinking water is supplied to all households.
Telangana has successfully transitioned from a power and water deficit state to a surplus state, reflecting its commitment to holistic development across sectors like agriculture, industry, and welfare.”
C. Shekar Reddy, the Chairman of CII Telangana & CMD of CSR Estates Pvt Ltd, commended the government of Telangana for developing tier-II towns.
He said, “In recent times, digital transformation had a positive impact on business operations in the finance industry. Innovations in technology in the last 50 years have enabled the finance function to move from hindsight to insight.
The major challenge is about uncovering the best way to change existing business processes and employ the best technology. CFOs are integral to driving digital transformation in organisations.”
The conclave had several speakers like V. Laxmikanth, the Managing Partner of Pavestone Capital & former Chairman of Broadridge Financial Solutions, who emphasized the need for CFOs to make decisions considering processes, people and scale.
