The Telangana Government has stepped up its efforts to address the longstanding demands of state government employees, with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who heads the subcommittee on employee issues, being briefed on their key concerns on Tuesday at the Praja Bhavan.
The high-level officials’ committee, which was constituted to study the grievances of employees, submitted a preliminary report to Bhatti after holding talks with employee union representatives.
The committee comprises CCLA Secretary Naveen Mittal, Panchayat Raj Secretary Lokesh Kumar, and TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar.
During the meeting, the officials presented a detailed summary of representations received from unions across departments, ranging from pay anomalies and promotions to inter-district transfers and service regularisation.
Sources said some of the demands are about unresolved issues carried over from the BRS administration, while others have emerged due to the recent restructuring and delays in the implementation of GO-linked benefits. Bhatti asked the committee to compile a comprehensive note outlining both the concerns raised and the department-wise proposals for redressal ahead of the formal meeting of the subcommittee scheduled for May 29.
“We are committed to resolving employees’ problems in a time-bound manner. The government is taking this process seriously, and we expect concrete steps to be discussed and decided in the upcoming meeting,” Bhatti said.
Officials said the feedback from employee unions has been constructive and detailed, and departments are working to collate data for each category of grievance to facilitate a smoother resolution process.
