Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday hailed the unity of Telugu people, emphasising that despite regional differences, they remain one community. Speaking at the launch of Prajala Kathe Na Aatmakaatha (The People’s Story is My Autobiography), authored by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Naidu said, “Our goal is to make the Telugu community number one globally.”

Recounting his efforts to boost Telugu pride, Naidu highlighted Hyderabad’s rise as an IT hub, crediting the development of Hi-Tech City with support from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He also praised cultural landmarks like Shilpakala Vedika and Shilparamam for preserving Telugu heritage amid progress.

Naidu lauded Dattatreya as a unifying figure and a model of simplicity, service, and secularism. “Dattanna is a rare leader who bridged party lines and public life seamlessly,” he said, recalling their shared political journey through crises like the Emergency and the Diviseema cyclone. Noting Dattatreya’s six-decade-long political career, Naidu called him an icon of clean politics and dedication. The CM described the book as an inspiring tribute to a leader who embodies humanity beyond religion and politics.
