Decennial celebrations extended by a week  q Civic bodies felicitated as part of Pattana Pragathi Day

Two weeks of Telangana State Decennial celebrations are over and celebrations will continue for one more week.As per a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Public Relations Officer, two weeks of celebrations were held with the support of all sections of society.

The Telangana State Decennial celebrations, which started on June 2, have completed two weeks and everyday functions are being held in different fields.The celebration of the state’s formation began by paying tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for a separate Telangana state and will conclude with the inauguration of the Martyrs’ Memorial Centre.
KCR has assured that Telangana society will be indebted to the families of martyrs and the government will stand by it.Farmers’ Day was organized on June 3 across the state and it was attended by farmers on a large scale and they offered milk to the portraits and flexi of KCR. Ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, other public representatives and officials had joint meals with farmers.
The police organised car and bike rallies in all districts across the state on the occasion of Suraksha Day on June 4. Public awareness programmes were conducted on services being provided by the police to the public.
While power generation capacity was 7,778 MW when the state was formed, today it is 18,567 MW. The government spent Rs 97,321 crore in the last nine years for strengthening power generation, supply and distribution systems in the state.
Farmers, consumers, and electricity department officials participated in the electricity victory celebrations held in all the constituencies on June 5.On Industries Day, that is, June 6, the government said it has decided to allot 1.45 lakh acres for setting up industries across the state. So far, 28,000 acres have been allocated.
With Kaleswaram water, a 68-km canal is continuously irrigating fields from Ootur in Nagaram mandal of Suryapet district to Ravicheruvu in Penpahad mandal covering 126 villages. The Laksh Jana Maha Harati programme was organised on June 7, on the occasion of Irrigation Day.
From not being able to use the 90 TMC of water allotted from the Godavari in United AP, to the completion of the Kaleswaram Project and using 400 TMC of water is proof of KCR’s efforts, the statement said.
As part of the decade celebrations, a pond festival was held on June 8. People celebrated the festival of ponds in all villages of the state. So far, 27,527 ponds have been renovated at a cost of Rs 9,155 crore in four phases and the storage capacity of ponds has touched nine TMCs.
Telangana today is an inspiration to the country with welfare schemes like Gurukula Vidyalayas, free electricity for farming, distribution of sheep, distribution of fish, Rs10 lakh aid via Dalit Bandhu and Rs 1 lakh for BCs.Good Governance Day was observed and the formation of 33 districts and collectorates was highlighted. Poets, artists and writers were felicitated on June 11 on Sahitya Day.

The Telangana Run was held on June 12 under the auspices of the police. This programme held across the state received huge support from the people.A large number of women participated in the Telangana Women’s Welfare Day organised across the state on June 13.

Best female employees were felicitated.Medical Day was celebrated on June 14. In Hyderabad, KCR laid the foundation stone for expanding NIMS with 2,000 beds.

Development projects were undertaken in villages under Palle Pragathi with an outlay of Rs 11,162 crore in five instalments.Sarpanchs of the best village panchayats and MPPs of the best mandals were felicitated on Telangana Palle Pragathi Day held on June 15 across the state.

Many villagers happily said that they never imagined that their village would change like this. As part of the Pattana Pragathi Day organised on June 16, the best municipalities and corporations ward councillors, chairmen, mayors and employees were felicitated.
