Tension grips Muthyalamma temple area

Tension prevailed in Secunderabad after the alleged vandalism at Muthyalamma temple.
In the early hours of Monday, according to the CCTV footage going viral, an unknown individual has entered kicking the temple gate making a loud noise.
The Endowment officers have conducted an investigation and a report will be submitted to the Commissioner of Endowments. The Goddess’s idol has been vandalised and thrown aside, said the endowments officers.
The North Zone Hyderabad City Police are investigating the case and have taken custody of a person handed over by the locals. Though official information has not been released by the Police, an officer informed The Pioneer that one person was caught by the locals and detained by the police.  
BJP member Madhavi Latha staged a protest and was later detained by the police. Speaking with the media, Madhavi Latha said, “I have no trust in the Police. People have entered the temple premises and no action has been taken until afternoon. When we are here to question, they are not allowing us inside the temple, Is this fair enough?”
MLA Raja Singh has been kept under house arrest. He released a video on his social media platform saying that he is not being allowed to visit Muthyalamma temple.
