The Telangana Food Safety Commission (TFSC) inspected restaurants in Miyapur and found live cockroach infestations and multiple violations.
The Task Force officials inspected Angaara Restaurant and found a live cockroach infestation. The kitchen was highly unhygienic, with broken tiles, water stagnation and cobwebs. The FSSAI licence was not displayed in a prominent place. Pan spitting was seen near the food storage area.
Food in the refrigerator was covered but not labelled and the fridge was unhygienic. Dustbins were open without lids and there were no insect-proof screens. Medical fitness certificates, pest control records and water analysis reports were missing. Suspected synthetic food colours were found and discarded.
Later on, the officials also inspected Athidhi Restaurant and found live cockroach infestation in the kitchen, broken tiles and uncovered food. Rose water (cosmetic) was used in lassi. The refrigerator was rusted and raw chicken was stored uncovered. Dustbins were open and required certificates were missing.
Finally, the officials inspected Kodikura Chittigare and found pest control records missing along with non-NABL water reports and flies all over the place due to open windows.
