TG cadre IFS Vinay Kumar bags Ashoka Award

Indian Forest Service cadre officer Vinay Kumar of Telangana was presented with Ashoka Award 2024 for outstanding and innovative work in policy on Wednesday.
Formerly he served as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Telangana cadre belonging to 1992 batch of Indian Forest Service and presently on deputation working as Director, International Corporation and Deputy Director General at the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, Government Of India at Dehradun.
He was awarded the prestigious civil services Ashoka Award 2024 for outstanding and innovative work in policy formulation and administration at a glittering ceremony organised at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.  
The award was conferred by General Deepak Kapoor, former chief of army staff in the esteemed presence of former defence secretary and governor of Chhattisgarh Shekhar Dutta, special guest Dr RK Ranjan Singh, Minister of State, Government of India and Justice BP Singh, former Chief Justice High Court of Mumbai, on September 29.
