Telangana is set to take a major leap in Artificial Intelligence with its AI City. IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has invited the Queensland Government of Australia to invest in the project.
On Monday, a high-level Queensland delegation led by Finance, Trade, Employment & Training Minister Rosin Bates met Sridhar Babu at the Ministers’ Quarters in Banjara Hills. The discussions focused on strengthening ties across key sectors and identifying collaboration opportunities.
Sridhar outlined Telangana’s vision for its Life Sciences University, which aims to be a global hub for biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. The Queensland delegation expressed a strong interest in strategic partnerships, recognising Telangana’s dominance in the life sciences sector.
The talks also delved into the establishment of Telangana’s Sports University, with Queensland pledging support for future collaborations. The delegation commended the Skill University initiative, designed to bridge the gap between workforce demand and industry requirements through specialized training programmes.
Both parties agreed to explore international partnerships in education, research and development, and agriculture. The Queensland representatives expressed enthusiasm for Telangana’s innovation-driven growth and showed interest in being actively involved in its key initiatives.
