The Telangana government plans to use AI-powered microphones in official meetings and the judicial system, said Naveen Sridhara, Director of Sales and Business Communication at Sennheiser India.
The AI-Censored TruVoicelift system, designed for automated hands-free audio and video, was introduced to improve communication in professional settings. Sennheiser and Crestron showcased the TruVoicelift system and AI-enabled visual speaker camera switching at ITC Kohenur on Thursday
Demonstrating the Voicelift system, Naveen Sridhara explained that TruVoicelift is a touchless microphone system designed as a ceiling solution. It captures voices using ceiling microphones with a height range of 5 meters and a coverage area of 40 square meters. He mentioned that the system uses a single channel with frequency shutters to eliminate unwanted noise.
Naveen described TruVoicelift as a hybrid solution offering flexibility of movement, no need for extra microphones and a hygienic, touch-free user experience with even sound coverage. He noted that it does not require battery recharging and promotes sustainability through sensor-based auto shut-off features. This voice lift system can be surface-mounted, suspended or flush-mounted
Meanwhile, Gagan Verma, Vice-President – India & SAARC, Crestron, highlighted the Crestron I-12 series cameras enable 360-degree tracking of speakers using built-in visual AI.
Naveen shared a successful proof of concept (POC) showcasing a 150-seater training room with 12 ceiling microphones. He mentioned that TruVoicelift is now used by Deloitte Hyderabad, other IT companies and educational institutions such as GITAM and Manipal. He also pointed out that judicial systems have adopted TruVoicelift for virtual sessions, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.
