Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu said that sanction letters as per the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme will be distributed in all Assembly constituencies in Telangana on June 2 between 4 pm and 5 pm.

Addressing collectors via video conference on Wednesday, Bhatti directed the appointment of special officers at the mandal level to oversee implementation and beneficiary support.

Stating that the government is investing thousands of crores with faith in youth, Bhatti said, “This assistance should light up the lives of our youth and help drive Telangana’s GDP forward.”

He recalled that while the previous decade saw superficial implementation of schemes through corporations, the people’s government has launched this scheme with sincere intent and far-reaching vision.

He revealed that with a massive outlay of Rs 8,000 crore, the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme aims to provide livelihood to five lakh youth across Telangana.

He stressed that the initiative is designed to unleash human potential and foster entrepreneurship, catalysing growth.

Bhatti underlined the importance of not just disbursing financial aid but monitoring its utility and ensuring the sustainability of beneficiary ventures.

“If a beneficiary faces a setback, the administration must step in to resolve issues,” he said, likening the monitoring system to that in place under the Indira Kranti Patham (IKP).

He urged collectors to ensure the scheme’s success in its inaugural year, with the hope of expanding it in the future. To aid this, each mandal will have a dedicated officer to provide handholding support to the beneficiaries.

Bhatti said the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme is aimed at bringing hope to the youth of Telangana, who were disappointed after a decade of unfulfilled promises.

He acknowledged the role played by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, and the then-Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao in shaping the scheme’s framework.

He extended gratitude to Social Welfare Principal Secretary Sridhar, BC Welfare Secretary Sridhar, Tribal Welfare Secretary Sharath, and Managing Directors of various corporations for aligning with the government’s vision.
