Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that Telangana lands are now in the hands of a foreign company. The BRS government handed over the Dharani Portal to a foreign company which was close to them, Ponguleti said.
Speaking to a private TV channel on Sunday, he said the mistakes committed by the BRS government in the Dharani Act are the main reason for the creation of Indiramma Raj in Telangana.
The BRS government brought the Dharani Act stating that it will solve all land issues, however, the problems increased 100 times after that, he said.
He said that farmers suffered losses due to loopholes in the Dharani Act and that earlier farmers could approach
revenue courts, RDO, MRO, Special Deputy Collector, Collector and the CCLA court to get their problems solved. However, the Revenue Act–2020 ended all this, he added.
There are lakhs of complaints pending and the Congress government is addressing them, he said. He said the Congress admin is sincere in solving Dharani problems and that the government is running a pilot project in two mandals to test the new ROR Act.
The Revenue Minister said that he will not tolerate corruption in the Stamps, Registration and Revenue departments and that he will not tolerate corrupt officials under any circumstance.
The government has given full operational freedom to the ACB, he said and added that the government will solve LRS applications as per guidelines. He said the government will release funds for Indiramma houses in phases.
The government will not tolerate anyone grabbing public lands, he said. HYDRAA looks good and the government is thinking of extending it all over the state, he added.
