The Government of Telangana signed an MoU with Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to strengthen TG’s skill development initiatives.
The Telangana delegation, led by the Chief Minister, included IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, TSIIC MD Vishnu Vardhan, CM’s Special Secretary Ajit Reddy and Young India Skill University Vice-Chancellor VLVS Subbarao.
On the first day, the Telangana Rising team visited ITE’s campus in Singapore to explore its state-of-the-art skill development programmes and training facilities.
The delegation interacted with experts in 20 domains, gaining insights into the programmes that have positioned ITE as a leader in technical education.
During the discussions, Revanth highlighted the TG government’s commitment to skilling Telangana’s youth and invited ITE to collaborate with the Young India Skill University, being established in Hyderabad’s Fourth City.
IT Minister Sridhar Babu outlined the need for market-aligned training programmes and proposed partnerships in technical education.
After the discussions, an MoU was signed to formalise the collaboration, aimed at sharing expertise and resources. The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor Subbarao and ITE’s Deputy Director for Academic and Administrative Services Parvender Singh in the presence of ITE’s Deputy Director for IT Education Services Fabian Chiang. An ITE delegation is expected to visit Hyderabad soon to take the partnership ahead.
Earlier in the day, Revanth and his delegation held extensive talks with Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. The discussions spanned several areas like infrastructure development, river rejuvenation, water resource management, green energy, tourism, education and IT park expansion.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of long-term partnerships in these sectors to accelerate Telangana’s development.
The Chief Minister’s arrival in Singapore was met with enthusiasm by the Telangana diaspora. Expatriates gathered in large numbers to greet the delegation extending their wishes.
The delegation’s itinerary includes a three-day visit to Singapore, followed by participation in the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.
