TG to be world-class tourist destination: Minister Jupally

Many world-class tourist destinations in Telangana, previously neglected by the previous government, will be developed into national and international destinations, said Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. He addressed the media during a study tour of Mahabubnagar district’s Devarakadra constituency on Sunday. Under the guidance of Jupally, MP Mallu Ravi, and a team of MLAs, visited the Sarala Sagar project. 
Minister Jupally emphasised that Telangana takes pride in world-class tourist destinations, including scenic beauty, famous pilgrimage sites and historical treasures. He criticised the previous government for neglecting tourism development over the last decade, despite many opportunities and resources. Under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s leadership, plans are now being made to develop the existing tourism areas in the State, he added. 
Jupally explained that the unified Palamuru region, where efforts to attract tourists, promote tourist areas and create infrastructure such as roads are underway. Sarala Sagar and Koil Sagar, which have the second automatic siphon system in Asia, will be developed as tourist destinations. Additionally, the Kurumurthy temple will be developed as part of temple tourism.
