The Telangana Gazetted Officers’ Association (TGO), Hyderabad District branch, held its executive committee meeting on December 12 at the Metro Water Works Building in Khairatabad. The meeting, presided over by President MB Krishna Yadav and inaugurated by Secretary Mohammed Abdul Khader, was attended by state leaders, including Association President Eluri Srinivas Rao and General Secretary A Satyanarayana, as chief guests.
Several critical resolutions were passed during the meeting, emphasising the association’s concerns over pending issues and future plans for government employees.
The key resolutions included the immediate release of pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears in cash and the implementation of the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) with equal contributions from employees, pensioners, and the government. The association also demanded representation for employees in the EHS trust.
Abolishing the CPS and UPS pension schemes and reinstating the old pension system (OPS) was a major highlight of the meeting. Additionally, the association called for the immediate implementation of the Second Telangana PRC Report with enhanced fitment and urged the government to clear all pending bills, including GPF, medical reimbursements, and arrears.
The association raised concerns about the increased workload on Hyderabad district employees due to bifurcation without sufficient recruitment in new districts. They demanded fresh appointments to reduce the burden and ensure smooth functioning of district offices.
Another significant resolution was the demand for advanced skill development training for Hyderabad district officers, with opportunities for international exposure as part of the 4th Future City project. The association also sought the allocation of at least 1,000 square yards of land in Hyderabad for constructing the association’s office building.
In a symbolic gesture, the association resolved to have its annual diary and calendar unveiled by Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy by the end of December.
The meeting was attended by several prominent members, including Central Association Treasurer M Upender Reddy, Women Representative Deepa Reddy, Associate President G Ashanna, Treasurer Maduguri Venkata Ramana, Vice Presidents Dr. N Surender and Aluvala Rajender, and other key office-bearers and executive members.
