Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) on Saturday facilitated the conductor named R Saroja and bus driver MM Ali for assisting a pregnant woman for delivery.
On Friday, a woman, named Shweta Ratnam, boarded the bus in Aramghar. On reaching Bahadurpura, she developed labor pains and gave birth to a baby girl inside the bus. She was later shifted to a nearby hospital.
TGSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar said that the baby girl would be presented with a bus pass.
Joint Director Apoorva Rao, Executive Directors Munishekhar, Krishnakanth, Hyderabad Regional Manager Varaprasad, Musheerabad Depot Manager Kishan and others participated in this felicitation program.
The GHMC gave a birth certificate to the baby girl on Saturday. “As this incident is covered by three circles, there is a possibility of future problems as to where to get the birth certificate, therefore, the GHMC authorities have issued the birth certificate of baby of Shweta Ratnam”.
