Thangalaan reveals its connection to KGF history and Indian mythology

The highly anticipated trailer for Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram, has just dropped, offering a glimpse into its massive, mystical world. The trailer showcases Vikram’s dramatic transformation and hints at an epic narrative blending historical and mythological elements.
Thangalaan is set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) and integrates aspects of Indian mythology into its storyline. According to sources close to the production, the film explores the real history of KGF while weaving in mythological themes to create a visually stunning experience.
The trailer also introduces Malavika Mohanan in an intriguing new role as Aarathi, a sorceress with extraordinary powers. This addition promises an intense confrontation between her character and Vikram’s, heightening the film’s anticipation. Thangalaan, featuring Malavika Mohanan in a key role, is slated for a global release on August 15, 2024. It will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
