Starring Siva Karthikeyan is the fantasy sci-fi movie Ayalaan. The protagonist is Rakul Preet Singh. J. Rajesh produces this R. Ravikumar-directed movie under the KJR Studios label. AR Rahman, the renowned music director and Oscar winner, wrote the soundtrack. For Sankranti, it was launched in Tamil Nadu on January 12. Ganga Entertainments is releasing Maheshwar Reddy in Telugu states on the January 26. During the film’s premiere, Sivakarthikeyan spoke with the Telugu press.
He says, “The movie ‘Ayalaan’ contains 4500 visual effects shots. Compared to the movies 2.O and Robo, this one features more special effects. We have a tight budget. One could seem to dream bigger if the movie could be produced on a tight budget. That’s the reason I chose to take so long to complete this film.” The newest sensation in Tamil cinema, Ayalaan, has garnered a lot of interest. The film, has earned more than Rs. 50 crore in Tamil Nadu already.
The well-known actor who traveled to Hyderabad for a promotion stated, “There are some reservations, though. I won’t reveal the title of the Hollywood production, but the scene we recorded was included in a later release. Since it’s a fantasy superhero movie, some of the scenes we shot may appear in other movies that are released later. However, Ayalaan’s central narrative—the encounters and scenes between the alien and human—has not yet been adapted into a motion picture. We haven’t finished our script yet. Although our director Kanaka may make screenplay adjustments if he writes the script, Tamil Nadu moviegoers did not voice any complaints regarding the plot. They stated as much and they liked it.”
On January 26, 2024, the Telugu version will be released in theaters. According to the most recent rumors, Ayalaan will debut on Sun NXT, an over-the-top platform, on February 16, 2024. This story has gone viral in Tamil circles, despite the fact that it has not been verified. “There is a global notion in this movie. The exchange between the extraterrestrial and human will resonate with viewers worldwide. In Tamil Nadu, our film was a big hit. It will also be a huge smash in Telugu, I’m sure of it. I’m confident that everyone who has viewed the movie will value our work.”
This esteemed endeavor was produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the auspices of KJR Studios. The lead actress was played by Rakul Preet Singh. Other important players were Yogi Babu, Bhanu Priya, Isha Koppikar, and Sharad Kelkar. Checking for further developments, we get to know, “We decided not to release our film because Sankranti already has a lot of Telugu films out. I was confident that it would succeed, even if it arrived two weeks later than expected. Three Telugu songs—”Love Today,” “Vidudalai,” and Vishal’s “Abhimanyudu”—became successful after being released in Tamil. It will function if the content is strong. I held out for the movie for five years. A fortnight is not too much to ask.”
Ayalaan will definitely have a sequel. A formal update regarding the film’s sequel has now been released by the producers. After its release, Ayalaan garnered favorable reviews and performed well at the box office. Furthermore, “It’s been said that a 200–300 crore budget is necessary to make a movie of this caliber. It is possible to complete a project on a tight budget if you have the appropriate team and idea. In the event that it becomes successful, the producers will pitch in extra money. Then we have even greater dreams. That was our driving force.” Ninety percent of the scenes feature graphics. Alien content makes up 70% of the film. The bulk of the film, then, features special effects!
Moreover, “We shot the film prior to COVID. Visual effects could not be completed since due to corona studios were closed. A.R. Rahman was fixed, indeed. My first movie with him is this one. I think Rahman is fantastic. I’ve always wanted Rehman to write the soundtrack for my movie. Rahman worked till the very end because of Ravikumar’s idea and the inspiration he provided. Some musical improvisations were made because the Telugu release was only two weeks away.”
However, the main actor believes that Ayalaan is more like a theme park than a film. A fun ride has begun. After two and a half hours of comfortable viewing, you can get to work. “To produce Alien, we invested extra time and conducted a great deal of research. The concept of a sequel has long been around. We intend to produce the sequel much more extensively. We were inspired by Tamil Nadu’s success.”
