The Manchu family feud seems to have no end in sight. On Wednesday, Vishnu organised a press conference, where he expressed his thoughts on his father’s upbringing. He stated, “My father gave a lot of love to all of us, which I think is a big mistake.” This comes after his father, senior actor Mohan Babu, was hospitalised and is currently stable.
“We are a joint family and I wanted to continue that way, but unfortunately, this incident happened, which makes us all feel terrible. I hope this issue will resolve soon. My father loves my brother, sister and me too much and that’s the big mistake he made,” said Vishnu.
Regarding the incident where Mohan Babu attacked a journalist, he stated, “It was not a deliberate attempt by my father to hurt anyone. It was unfortunate and he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He came out with folded hands and suddenly someone put a microphone in his face. He reacted impulsively in the heat of the moment.”
The Ginna fame added that he spoke to the journalist’s family and assured them of his support. “We never invited the media into our home; they entered forcefully. In that heated situation, everything happened suddenly.”
The Denaikana Ready actor stated that his mother is also unwell due to the situation at home and has been hospitalized. “If I were in India, the situation would be different and the letters and audio files might not have been leaked,” he said. He explained that he was in Los Angeles for the post-production work of his film Kannappa.
He requested the media to refrain from sensationalising the issue. “My humble request to all media personnel is to please leave this issue alone. Don’t make our lives a circus. I will meet the Commissioner of Police and take legal action,” he said. He emphasised that he respects his father’s words. “If he asks me not to stay in his house, I don’t have the right to stay. He struggled hard to build everything we have and people respect us because we are Mohan Babu’s sons.”
Regarding his family members, he further mentioned that he has differences with his sister Lakshmi, but they respect each other. He also defended Vinay, who attacked his brother Manoj, saying, “He’s a good person. My father always says Vinay is like his elder son. He worked for reputable organisations earlier.”
The Mosagallu actor advocated for resolving issues with love rather than quarrels. “I don’t want to talk about my family anymore.”
Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj also addressed the media, apologising on behalf of his father. “It’s not true that my mother is in the hospital. They’re spreading false news,” he said. He had also met the Commissioner of Police and submitted a bond of Rs 1 lakh. Manoj, however, said that he is ready to have a conversion on the issue. Manchu Lakshmi, too had shared a post where she captioned it as “peace”.
