The Raja Saab may spoil Chiranjeevi’s festival plans

Must read

The Raja Saab has faced a long and uncertain journey since its launch years ago. The film, starring Prabhas and directed by Maruthi, is being produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. While several release dates were announced earlier, they were all postponed due to incomplete shooting. Now, the makers have announced a new and final release date: December 5, 2025.

However, according to a source, the film is unlikely to meet this deadline, as a lot of the shoot is still pending. The same source revealed that this horror-comedy might now release during the Sankranthi festival in January 2026. “There are many re-shoots still left and significant portions are yet to be filmed, so a December release seems improbable,” said the source.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is working on multiple films simultaneously and director Maruthi is reportedly using a body double for some parts. Even with this workaround, completing the shoot on time seems difficult.

If The Raja Saab releases during Sankranthi, it could disrupt Chiranjeevi’s festival release plans. Chiranjeevi has already announced his film with director Anil Ravipudi for the Sankranthi slot. A box-office clash between Prabhas and Chiranjeevi could prove costly for both films, particularly for Chiranjeevi. All eyes are now on how the makers will manage the release dates.
