The screening committee has already identified the criteria for selection of the candidates.
Telangana Congress leadership has already received applications from more than a 1,000 ticket aspirants for the 119 constituencies. The Congress leadership must now screen the applications and select the right candidates.
The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti announced its list of candidates on August 21st. Hence, the Congress party is preparing to announce its candidates as soon as possible.

Bhatti Vikramarka said that they discussed factors to be considered for the selection of candidates.
The Screening Committee chairman received several suggestions and they will be placed “at one place”. A call will be taken at the next meeting of the Screening Committee after collecting additional information about the candidates. Very soon the Congress will announce the party candidates, Bhatti said.
However, it is learnt that the next meeting of the Screening Committee would be held only after the CWC meetings.
