Newme can make anyone appear lovely by glamourising whatever it chooses! Even though we know this to be true, being reminded of it on a regular basis might be beneficial. Because the good news for Hyderabadis is that a fashion-tech line targeting Gen Z (born between 1997 and 2012) women has announced its move into Telangana. It recently acquired substantial recognition after their sleek collection was featured on MTV Splitsvilla, a show popular with Gen Z fans. This exposure has strengthened its appeal to its target demographic!
In an exclusive conversation with us, the CEO & co-founder, Sumit Jisoria, spills all the beans about the intriguing idea of Girl Dome, including vivid and imaginative interiors that resonate with a youthful and dynamic audience, and much more.
They began their journey online because they believed it was the simplest way to understand the market, but they soon realised that customers want to touch and feel. Sumit, on the launch day, said, “We don’t call it offline; we call it a phygital experience setup, which is a mix of offline and physical setups plus online, and the entire technology of merging the online and offline in this manner is what makes us unique. I believe the south Indian markets are evolving.”
The Hyderabad store stands out because it depicts a girl’s hostel life. It is designed to give an aesthetic feel to college life, catering to the cosmopolitan crowd and the many students who study in Hyderabad. “The theme and layout are all designed to reflect the hostel setup, making it a unique experience. Hyderabad location is no different, with its individual style features, lighting, and overall design.”
He believes that their approach to creating things is extremely unique. Their manufacturing technique reduces waste and maintains a low-inventory approach by releasing new collections every week.
When it comes to design, they have a trend technology team that monitors global trends. Next, their design team generates designs based on these trends, which are then put into production.
When they originally decided to create a store, they thought about what makes them distinctive. The CEO says, “We discovered that the uniqueness lies in the design and aesthetic. The trial room, particularly in India, receives insufficient attention. We can improve young girls’ lives by empowering them to picture how our products look in an artistic setting, possibly even allowing them to post content on Instagram. That’s why we designed the store to be visually appealing while being minimalist.”
They are always learning and are really thrilled about the positive impact they can have on the lives of young women. “The feedback we get about our designs is amazing, as buyers frequently mention feeling comfortable wearing our outfits to college parties and even to work.”
The Gen Z is still evolving in India, and no one knows how they will evolve, shape, and pattern in this country. Newme has no boundaries, and fashion has no boundaries!
So, in today’s fast-paced fashion market, Gen Z fashion is redefining it. From varied streetwear to bold statements that turn heads, this generation’s fashion craze and infatuation are hard to ignore. If you don’t keep up with the latest trends, you can miss out on what’s going on in the world right now, especially in Hyderabad.
