The Meteorological Centre has issued a forecast indicating the likelihood of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning occurring at isolated locations in Rayalaseema over the next 48 hours. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh is expected to experience similar weather conditions within the next 24 hours.
In its daily weather report, the centre projected a period of hot, humid, and uncomfortable weather across isolated areas of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema for the upcoming five days. Furthermore, strong winds with speeds reaching 30-40 Kmph are anticipated in isolated pockets of the aforementioned regions during the same period. Over the next seven days, there is a prediction of light to moderate rainfall at one or two places within North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema.
Over the past 24 hours, maximum temperatures in isolated areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh have been recorded 3-5 degrees Celsius above the normal range. Notably, heavy rainfall was observed in one or two locations within Kurnool district of Rayalaseema during the same timeframe.
Meanwhile, Coastal Andhra Pradesh experienced rain in a few spots, while Rayalaseema witnessed rainfall in a few places; dry weather conditions prevailed in other areas over the past day.
