Kanes, a global leader in electronic system design and manufacturing, has launched a state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facility in Kongarakalan, in the Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Rangareddy district. The inauguration took place on Friday by IT and Industries Minister Duddiella Sridhar Babu and Ibrahimpatnam MLA Mal Reddy Rangareddy, marking a significant milestone in the region’s industrial development.
During the inauguration, Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted the significance of Kanes’ expansion into Telangana. With an investment of Rs 2,018 crore, the facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies, including high-precision electronic assembly, 3D optical inspection systems and AI-enabled state-of-the-art inspection processes, all compliant with lead-free/ROHS standards.
The Minister emphasised that the new facility would generate employment for around 2,000 local youth, offering a much-needed boost to the economy of this historically underdeveloped region. Minister Sridhar Babu also mentioned the government’s efforts to further develop Ibrahimpatnam, including the establishment of a prestigious skill university and the upcoming regional ring road, which are expected to transform the area into a significant hub for Hyderabad.
MLA Mal Reddy Rangareddy expressed his gratitude for Kanes choosing Ibrahimpatnam for their facility. He assured that the government would extend all possible support to non-polluting industries like Kanes, which contribute positively to the local economy.
The inaugural event was attended by Rangareddy District Collector Sashanka, Kanes Technology Chairman Sabita Ramesh, MD Ramesh Kannan, CEO Raghu Panicker, State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation Vice-Chairman Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Ibrahimpatnam MPP Niranjan Reddy, Industries District Officer Sreelakshmi and other key government officials and industry leaders.
