The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) may get young blood in its executive committee. TPCC chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that he and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy think that the TPCC executive committee should have young blood. The party is going to announce the TPCC executive committee soon, he added.
Mahesh was speaking at the Youth Congress’ training camp at Gattupalli in the Maheshwaram mandal of Rangareddy district. He said that Youth Congress leaders have a special identity in the party and that Rahul Gandhi too has been encouraging youth like Rajiv Gandhi, he said.
He said that Rahul is the ‘future’ of the nation and that Rahul will become the Prime Minister whenever elections are held.
Mahesh said that top AICC leaders have a Youth Congress background and that compromise is necessary in politics and leaders should behave as per conditions in the party. However, it is a must for leaders to work hard. Youth Congress leaders must be in touch with people, he added.
Mahesh said the Youth Congress has the responsibility of taking the government’s social welfare and development projects to the people. He also said that Youth Congress activists should focus on social media and should function as a protective cover of the Congress government.
He said that Congress activists have freedom in the party and they have the right to even question the Chief Minister.
Former Telangana Youth Congress president Shiv Sena Reddy, Telangana Youth Congress in-charge Surabhi, and Telangana Youth Congress president Shiva Charan Reddy attended the programme.
