The Additional Commissioner of traffic police in Hyderabad released traffic restrictions ahead of Jumat-ul –Vida to be observed on Friday.
Jumat-ul-Vida is significant since it is the last Friday of the month of Ramzan. In order to ensure peaceful conduct of prayers, traffic restrictions have been announced in the North and South zones.
In the North zone, the Subhash Road in Secunderabad (between Mahankali PS and Ramgopalpet Road Junction on the MG Road) will be closed for vehicular traffic from 9 am to 1 pm. There will be free flow of traffic from Rocha Bazar to Ranigunj.
Commuters moving from Bata X Roads towards Subhash Road will be diverted at Mahankali police station towards the lane to the left of the police station and towards Lala temple.
The restrictions are applicable to RTC buses too.
Similarly in the South zone, commuters coming from the Nayapul towards Charminar will be diverted at Madina junction towards City College. The Traffic moving from Nagulchintha / Shalibanda towards Charminar will be diverted at Himmatpura Junction, towards Hari Bowli and Volga Hotel T Junction towards Khilwat.
Commuters moving from Alijah Kotla towards Charminar will be diverted at Chowk Maidan Khan towards Hafiz Danka Mosque and towards Arman Hotel. Traffic coming from the Moosabowli areas towards Charminar will be diverted at Motigalli towards Khilwath ground, Rajesh Medical Hall Shalibanda and Fateh Darwaza Road.
Traffic coming from Etebar Chowk towards Gulzar House will be diverted at Etebar Chowk, towards Mandi Miralam Market or Bibi Bazar. The traffic coming from Mitti Ka Sher will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted towards Ghansi Bazaar to reach High Court road, Khilwath.
The traffic coming from Dabirpura (old APAT) will be diverted at Lakkad Kote and sent towards Mandi Mirlam Market if required.
Following are the parking spaces for devotees in the South Zone: The devotees coming from Madina, Pathargatti, will park their vehicles at Gulzar Function Hall. The devotees who are coming from Yakuthpura- Noorkhan Bazar, Talab katta and Dabeerpura will park their vehicles at Mufid Ul Anam Grounds.
The devotees coming from Chandrayangutta and Falaknuma areas will park their vehicles at Charminar bus terminal. The devotees coming from Santooshnagar Talab Katta Moghalpura will park their vehicles at the Ayyurvedic Unani Hospital parking.
Those coming from Misrigunj, Fateh Darwaza, Hussaini alam and Puranapul will park their vehicles at Khilwat Ground. The traffic coming from the western side of the Mecca Masjid, including Kishanbagh, Bahadurpura, Hussanui Alam will park their vehicles at the above mentioned parking places.
