Training programme for girl students launched

A training programme for the computer science girl students of PB Siddhartha College of Arts & Science College was launched on the campus on Monday. College Principal Dr.Meka Ramesh said that ICT and Honeywell, under their social responsibility programme, launched a training programme for girl students on Advanced IT skills. The girl students of computer science at the College would be imparted training on advanced IT skills in the two weeks programme. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state head of ITC Academy B Gopal attended the programme as chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Gopal said that the ICT academy has been conducting training programmes for the students for the last five years. The training programmes would help the students to improve their proficiencies on the IT technologies, he said. Honeywell Technologies under the student empowerment programme is imparting training to the girl students on Advanced IT skills, he added.

College Dean Prof. Rajesh Jampala said that PB Siddhartha College advanced training programmes are being conducted in the college to make the students job-ready in addition to traditional education teaching with affiliation with industries. Employment generation department head Kavuri Sridhar said that Honeywell company has selected PB Siddhartha College to impart training to the engineering students and they feel proud of it.

The objective of the programme is to prepare the students for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner Certification examination related to cloud computing technology, which offers the highest employment opportunities in the IT sector worldwide, and provide planned training to successfully obtain the certification. Commuter sciences faculty M Bhadraja, M Vijita, and A Pratusha and students were present.
