Training programme held for poll officials

District Collector Dr. A. Mallikarjuna underscored the critical role of election officials’ familiarity with the electoral process during Monday morning’s training sessions for Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) of the Legislative Assembly constituency within the Lok Sabha’s jurisdiction. The training took place at the AU Chemical Engineering Block.
Dr. Mallikarjuna reiterated the urgency of election preparedness. He commended the successful completion of the first phase of training, held over five days from February 12, which equipped AROs to effectively address their queries. Emphasising adherence to newly issued guidelines and instructions from the Central Election Commission, the District Collector stressed the need for meticulous compliance.
To ensure comprehensive understanding and resolution of doubts, national-level master trainers have been enlisted to educate election officials on the entire electoral process. Dr. Mallikarjuna urged officials to diligently apply themselves to guarantee the smooth conduct of elections.
District Revenue Officer K. Mohan Kumar, Joint Collectors from Visakha, Vizianagaram, Anakapalli, Paderu, Parvathipuram Manyam, Srikakulam districts, alongside AROs and other officials, actively participated in the training programme. The programme’s objective is to equip election officials with the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate fair and efficient electoral processes in the ensuing elections.
