The Andhra Pradesh government is making thorough and transparent arrangements for the Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment examination, scheduled to be conducted online from 6 June 2025. The drive aims to fill 16,347 vacant teacher posts under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who signed the first file related to DSC on 13 June 2024. Education Minister Nara Lokesh is monitoring the process for smooth execution.
In response to five major appeals from aspirants, the government issued clarifications. On the demand for 90 days’ preparation time, it stated that over six months had passed since the revised syllabus was released in November 2024. Postponement would delay teacher postings, hampering academic progress.
Regarding a single question paper per district, officials said the Computer-Based Test ensures fairness and was successfully used in DSC-2018 and Special DSC-2019.
Addressing the age limit, the upper age for OC candidates has been raised to 44 years; for SC/ST/BC, 49 years; and for PwD, 54 years.
The state also noted it had conducted two AP TETs in 2024, and CTET-qualified candidates are eligible.
The government stressed that further delay would impact classroom teaching and reaffirmed its commitment to completing appointments before the new academic year.
