An 11-year-old tribal welfare hostel student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Boys Residential School at Puliramannagudem in Buttayagudem mandal of Eluru District on Tuesday Morning.
According to police, Gogugla Akhil Vardhan Reddy (11), a fourth-standard student, studying at Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Boys Residential School at Puliramannagudem village in Buttayagudem Mandal. He was found dead in the school premises in the morning and the school officials informed the matter to Police.
Fellow students told the police that some youths entered the hostel on Monday night and dragged the deceased boy Akhil away. Later his body was found in the school premises in the morning.
The local people said that a letter was found in the boy’s hand with a warning that all students of the school would be killed if they did not leave. The boy’s parents and relatives rushed to the hostel.
Eluru District SP Mary Prasanthi reached Puliramannagudem.
A police dog squad has also reached the spot. After inquiries with local people and parents of the boy, the District Superintendent of Police Mary Prashanthi told the media that it was an unfortunate incident and said that the police would act quickly to nab the culprits.
The SP said three teams were formed and one of them would inquire into the circumstances leading to the incident and another team would look into the scientific evidence. The other team would assist the two teams in the investigation.
