In a heinous crime incident, a tribal youth was thrashed severely by his friends and later one of them urinated on him. The incident took place June 19 but came to light on Wednesday as one of the accused posted the incident on social media.
The victim Mota Naveen belonged to a tribal community and he was involved in several offences. He developed differences with his accomplice Manne Ramanjaneyulu alias Anji. Both the victims Naveen and Anji have been committing crimes including burglaries for the last few years and they have been involved in over 50 cases.
They were sent to jail in some cases. On June 19, the main accused Ramajanneyulu took the victim Naveen to KIMS hospital area where they consumed liquor. Arguments took place on an issue between Naveen and the other 9 persons.
All the 9 persons including Ramanjaneyulu thrashed Naveen with sticks severely. Though he was profusely bleeding, they did not spare him. One of them urinated on Naveen. He was seen forcing him to drink the urine. The entire shocking incident was video graphed with a mobile phone. One of them posted the incident on social media which went viral.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Superintendent of police Malika Garg said that differences erupted between Anji and Naveen regarding a minor girl. The accused Anji and the victim Mota Naveen were co-accused in a number of property offences and committed offences together and went to jail and both were friends.
However, differences erupted between them over information of thefts and properties. Mota Naveen is involved in POCSO case vide C.No. 420/2022 u/s 366 (A),376 IPC, 6 of POCSO of Ongole I Town PS and sent for remand on 03.01.2023. One Abhilash who is a friend of the minor girl’s brother (who is also a minor) has a grudge on Mota Naveen as he is also loving her. Hence Ramanji and Abhilash wanted to take revenge on victim Naveen.
The police arrested Rayapati Abhilash, Appanaboina Jayasankar, Shaik Shadiq Gafoor. Police held three Juveniles in the case. However the main accused Manne Ramanjaneyulu @ Anji, Chapala Prabhu and Ekambaram Narendra are absconding.
