Health Minister Harish Rao said the Congress is making far-fetched promises. He was addressing a function where Congress State General Secretary Abhilash Rao and other leaders joined the BRS at the Telangana Bhavan.
“The BRS government says that no matter where you go in the state, no matter who you ask, it will come back. No one doubts this. No matter how many tricks anyone does, the BRS will score a hat-trick. KCR has shown that he won Telangana. KCR implemented many schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima. KCR has given water to every house,” Harish said.
He said that electricity supply problems existed during the governments of Rajasekhar Reddy, Roshaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy.
“Chandrababu said that if an acre is sold in Telangana, a hundred acres can be purchased in AP. KCR increased the value of the farmer and the value of the lands in the hands of farmers increased. The leadership of KCR who raised the images of farmers should be strengthened,” Harish said.
“It is because of KCR that Kalwakurthy got a hundred-bed hospital. Srisailam flood victims also got life. All declarations of the Congress are namesake. What is the use of their useless declarations? The promises given after winning in Karnataka are not being implemented,” he added.“The Congress has not implemented a single item that it said in its 2009 election manifesto, be it making Thandas Gram Panchayats, nine hours of electricity supply during the day, reduction of LPG price etc. KCR is a leader who does what the people want even if it is not mentioned in the manifesto,” he said.
“The development of Kolhapur is possible only because of the BRS. We are going to start the Palamuru lift irrigation scheme soon.
The Nagar-Kurnool district will become a vegetable garden,” he said.
The Congress is pretending to love Dalits and tribals. The Congress is the reason for their backwardness. The party that defeated Ambedkar was the Congress. It is the party that did not give him the Bharat Ratna even after his death. The Congress is the party that prevented Babu Jagajivan Ram from becoming the Prime Minister. The Congress is shedding crocodile tears now, Harish said.
He said that there are five medical colleges now in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district. “For the Kalwakurthy project, the Congress broke coconuts and the Telugu Desam planted saplings. The TDP people broke coconuts and the Congress planted saplings near the stone plaques but water never came. It was the BRS government that completed the project and gave water to three and a half lakh acres,” Harish said.
He said that there was no drinking water and no good roads when Congress was ruling the state.
