Three members of a family were found brutally murdered in their house at Konda Bitragunta village in Bogolu mandal of the Nellore district on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Krishnaiah, his daughter Mounika, and his mother-in-law Santhi.
The bodies were found in a pool of blood in the house. The relatives, who had not been able to get in touch with the family members over the phone, went to the house and found them dead. They immediately informed the police.
The police, who rushed to the scene, found that the victims had been stabbed multiple times. Sniffer dogs were pressed into service to track down the culprits, and the clues team collected evidence from the crime scene.
Speaking to the media, SP K Tirumaleswara Reddy said that property dispute is suspected to be the motive behind the murders. He said that special teams have been formed to arrest the culprits.
The murders have sent shockwaves through the village, and the locals are demanding a speedy investigation and the arrest of the culprits.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
