TRS organising Athmeeya Sammelans to attract voters

Political parties have been making all-out efforts to lure Munugode voters to win the election by hook or crook.They are now taking voters on pilgrimages and hosting dinners.The TRS has been conducting a series of community-based and profession-based Athmeeya Sammelans to attract the voters of Munugode to its candidate Koosukuntla Prabhakar Reddy.

The party has been conducting community-based Athmeeya Sammelans to attract people from all communities to the TRS.The TRS hired halls at Manneguda in Turqayamzal mandal in Rangareddy district to organise the Sammelans and it has made the Sammelans an everyday affair to canvass votes. It is depending on these Sammelans to make community heads influence their communities and make them vote for the TRS candidate through an extensive campaign by deploying around 80 MLAs, MLCs, MPs and other public representatives.

One TRS leader on condition of anonymity told ‘The Pioneer’ that the contest is very close and that Athmeeya Sammelans help the TRS as they attract people to those who organise them and as they dine with party leaders.“The participants will become part of the TRS as they will get influenced by our hospitality,” he said.

On Sunday, the TRS conducted a Gouda Athmeeya Sammelan and a Munugode LIC agents’ Sammelan.KTR attended as the chief guest at the Goud community Athmeeya Sammelan which was attended by 2,000 Goud leaders. The TRS transported them by booking around 40 RTC buses.

Finance Minister T. Harish Rao attended the LIC Agents Athmeeya Sammelan.The TRS has already conducted STs’ Athmeeya Sammelan, Padmachali Athmeeya Sammelan and an Athmeeya Sammelan of Munugode people living in Hyderabad and several others in Manneguda.

The TRS has been serving food at all sammelans. At some of the get-togethers, it also served liquor.Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra has been meeting Munnurukapu community people personally and conducting Athmeeya Sammelans here and there to make the community vote for TRS candidate Prabhakar Reddy.Another leader said the Athmeeya Sammelans may decide the fate of the TRS candidate in Munugode.
