Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to provide T-24 ticket for women at Rs 80 against the earlier price of Rs100.
In the background of summer, it is decided to reduce the financial burden of women travelling within Greater Hyderabad. Earlier, the TSRTC management had reduced the ticket price for 24-hour city ordinary and metro express buses to Rs 90 for ordinary passengers and Rs 80 for senior citizens. This new T-24 ticket price for women will be available from Tuesday. These tickets are available from conductors of ordinary and metro express buses plying within the city limits.
TSRTC Chairman, Bajireddy Govardhan and MD VC Sajjanar said that the T-24 ticket which has been made available in Greater Hyderabad to reduce the financial burden of passengers is getting an unexpected response from the people. “The company has recently reduced the ticket price for 24-hour travel in city buses from Rs 100 to Rs 90. The ticket is offered to senior citizens for Rs 80 only. In this background, passengers are mostly buying T-24 tickets and travelling in buses. After that price reduction, T-24 tickets are being sold on an average of 40,000 every day. The number has increased significantly from earlier only 25,000 per day. “The organisation has decided to provide T-24ticket at Rs 80 to reach more women passengers,” they said.
He said that T-6 ticket for women and senior citizens has been started recently and if they buy that ticket for Rs 50 they can travel from 10 am to 4 pm. Also, it was explained that F-24 ticket has been made available for the convenience of family members and friends. It is stated that four people can travel for 24 hours by paying Rs 300 on weekends and holidays. It is advised to purchase T-24, T-6, F-24 tickets brought in Hyderabad city and reach the destinations safely. People are requested to support TSRTC which is providing better and quality services.
