Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Monday announced that it would operate 50 AC electric buses between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
TSRTC managing director VC Sajjanar took to Twitter saying, “Eco-friendly electric AC buses are going to be available for passengers. It has been decided to run 50 electric AC buses on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route #TSRTC. The company has named these new electric AC buses as ‘E-Garuda’, which are being made available with the highest quality standards and high-tech touches.
The inaugural ceremony of these buses will be held on Tuesday at 4.30 pm at Pushpak Bus Point near Miyapur Cross Roads, Hyderabad. Telangana Transport Minister Puvwada Ajay Kumar, along with chairman of the organisation and MLA Bajireddy Govardhan will launch the “E-Garuda” buses.
