TTD workers’ quarters raided by vigilance staff

Under the direction of TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) Sreedhar, TTD Vigilance and Security personnel, in collaboration with local police, conducted a joint raid on the quarters dwellings of workers located behind Balaji Nagar in Tirumala on Sunday.
The authorities discovered that these temporary sheds were originally set up for workers who had been employed as wage labourers in various construction projects in Tirumala.
However, despite the completion of the work and the departure of the contractor, many individuals continued to reside in more than 70 of these sheds, including some unauthorised persons.
In light of the need to ensure Tirumala’s safety, the vigilance team documented the workers during the operation, which took place between 10 am and 12 noon. The list has been forwarded to the Engineering Department for verification.
Moving forward, similar raids will be conducted at regular intervals to monitor and prevent unauthorised entries.
