Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has said that measures are being initiated to develop roads and drainages 100 per cent in Khammam constituency.
The Minister took part in a series of development works in the second division of Khammam city and laid the foundation stone for development of CC Roads in Pandurangapuram on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, he said that measures have been initiated to develop roads, which are indices of development, wherever they are needed in the constituency.
The officials should focus on accomplishing works within the set deadlines without compromising on quality, he said. Everyone should feel responsible to keep the city neat and clean, he said asking the government officials to send proposals for development of roads to new housing colonies.
He wanted the officials to pay special attention to sanitation during the current rainy season. He suggested keeping drainages clean and take precautions to ensure that there is no water stagnation.
City Mayor Punukollu Neeraja, DCCB chairman Dondapati Venkateswara Rao, Khammam Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Agasthya, Khammam Urban Mandal Tahsildar Ch Swamy, corporators M Venkateswarlu, Raparti Sarat were among those who took part in the event.
