Tummala underlines importance of winning local body polls

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nagaswaro Rao here on Sunday emphasised the need to ensure the victory of the Congress party in the forthcoming local body elections.
He was participating in a preparatory meeting held to discuss strategy for local body elections.
During the meeting, he mentioned that the local body elections should be taken as a challenge and urged the party cadre to work for the success of the party in the elections. He assured all help to the cadre.
He said that the local body elections should be taken as a challenge, and efforts should be made for victory. Those who work towards the success of Congress would be honoured, he said. Leaders should work with dedication, he said and added that strict action would be taken against those who violate party discipline.
The government under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy implemented several welfare programmes. Despite the lack of Central assistance, the Chief Minister continued to implement the welfare schemes with courage. The goal is to make Khammam district a progressive one. A permanent solution to the Munneru flood issue would be found. Election committees should work collectively according to the party’s decisions.
Nageswara Rao made it clear that the local body elections were crucial for strengthening the Congress party in Khammam.
