The Commissioner’s Task Force (South East) Zone in coordination with the IS Sadan police on Saturday arrested two persons involved in chain snatching and seized property worth Rs 2 lakh.
The accused were identified as Garala Prasad Goud (27) a dancer and resident of Ibrahimpatnam ; Vadtyavath Ganesh (21) a dancer and resident of Saroornagar. Apart from a 9.9 gram gold chain, the police seized a two-wheeler and two mobile phones from the accused.
Goud planned to snatch chains; both the accused targeted isolated places. Ganesh who is also a rapido rider showed Goud places under IS Sadan police limits. On April 16, the two accused spotted a lady walking by herself.
They followed the victim, snached the chain and fled the place. Based on the lady’s complaint an FIR was registered under section 392 of the IPC.
