UN Under-Secretary-General meets Minister Sridhar Babu

United Nations Under-Secretary-General Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana met with IT and Industry Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The United Nations, in partnership with the Melinda Gates Foundation, will study how to increase the participation of women and small-scale industries in the State’s agri-food systems. The Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific (ESCAP), part of the United Nations, has already trained 10 institutions in Telangana. A road map has been prepared to involve marginalised groups in the mainstream, and have sought the government’s assistance for further action.
TGIIC COO Madhusudan, Food Processing Division Director Akhil, Life Sciences Foundation CEO Sakthi Nagappa, were among those present.
