Unhygienic food  items found in city restaurants

The Task Force teams of Telangana’s Commissioner of Food Safety conducted inspections at two restaurants in Gachibowli on Wednesday and found violations in those eateries.
 During the inspections at Golden Pears- The Multicuisine Restaurant at Aramghar, the official found four packets of expired milk and discarded them on the spot. Unlabelled ghee packets were found inside the store area.
The officials found raw mutton pieces spillage inside the refrigerator and it was found to be in highly unhygienic condition. Pest control records and medical fitness certificates for food handlers were not available with the Food Business Operator (FBO). Windows were found open to the outside environment and houseflies observed inside the kitchen.
In the Dar AI Mandi eatery in Aramghar, the officials found that the FBO failed to provide the FSSAI licence copy during the inspection. It was found that Swiggy food delivery app is managing orders for this establishment with an inactive or expired licence. They failed to provide the pest control records and medical fitness certificates for food handlers. Kitchen was found to be highly unhygienic with patchy flooring and drain water stagnation. Kitchen was found open to the outside environment without any insect-proof screen and doors not close fitted to avoid entry of pests. Houseflies were observed inside the kitchen.
