Union Min lauds AP’s bilingual textbooks

The Department of School Education – Samgra Shiksha, Government of Andhra Pradesh, stated that Central Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently visited the stall set up by Andhra Pradesh School Education Department at the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam’ held in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The event was organized by the central Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to mark the third anniversary of the National Education Policy-2020.

During the visit, the Central Education Minister showed keen interest in the bilingual textbooks and multilingual books based on mother tongue, such as Savara, Konda, Kuvi, Adivasi Odia, Koya, and Sugali languages, which were on display at the stall. He appreciated the efforts made by the Andhra Pradesh government to implement the new national education system and praised the state’s commitment to education reform.

Samagra Shiksha State Project Director, B Srinivasa Rao, also participated in the event and spoke about various initiatives undertaken by the Andhra Pradesh government in the education sector. He highlighted the state’s focus on digital education, distribution of tablets to students, teaching through interactive plot funnels in classrooms, and other innovative teaching methodologies like Vidyakanuka and Mana Badi: Nadu Nadu.

The stall showcased the progress made in the field of education in Andhra Pradesh and received positive feedback from visitors and dignitaries present at the event.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is committed to providing quality education to its students and remains dedicated to furthering education reforms and initiatives that promote the overall development of the state’s educational landscape.
