Union Minister campaigns for Godam Nagesh in Adilabad

Union Tribal Welfare Minister Arjun Munday on Wednesday kicked off election campaign in support of the BJP candidate from Adilabad Lok Sabha constituency Godam Nagesh. He was addressing a meeting in the remote village of Undam in Talamadugu mandal of Adilabad district.
Arjun Munday said that India was emerging a strong nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He expressed confidence that Modi would win for third consecutive term.  .
He appealed to the electorate not to walk into the trap of false promises to be made by Congress leaders during the poll campaign.
The culture and traditions of Adivasis became stronger only under the Modi Regime, he pointed out. He recalled how the Prime Minister launched schemes for the welfare of tribals.
The BJP would strive to fulfill the ideals of tribal leaders like Ramji Gond and Birsa Munda.
He alleged that injustice was done to the down-trodden sections during the Congress rule.
He appealed to the electorate to ensure Godam Nagesh get elected to Lok Sabha by a huge margin of votes.
At the public meeting, BRS ZPTC Tati Raju joined the BJP along with 500 others.
The sitting MP of Adilabad Soyam Bapu Rao was conspicuous by his absence at the public meeting. Besides Bapu Rao, BJP leaders Ramesh Rathod and former MLA Rathod Babu Rao kept aloof from the BJP election campaign. They unsuccessfully vied with each other to secure the BJP LS ticket from Adilabad.
Earlier Godam Nagesh, Adilabad MLA Payal Sankar and ZP Chairman Rathod Janardhan extended warm welcome to the Union Minister on his arrival here.
