UST partners with GHMC to restore Bongulakunta lake 

UST, a digital transformation company, partnered with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to restore Bongulakunta lake in Nizampet, Hyderabad, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The restoration aims to help around 250 families and over 1,000 residents by providing a stable water supply through borewells. UST’s CSR team in Hyderabad also built a walkway around the lake, creating a community area with a children’s park and seating.
The project included building a restoration bund and a water storage facility to revive the lake, which had been affected by drought and neglect. The lake’s inauguration on Wednesday was attended by Vijayalakshmi Subba Rao, Corporator of Nizampet Division-1 and UST team members, including Venkata Peram, UST Head, Hyderabad.
Venkata Peram stated that UST’s focus is on lasting positive change, addressing both water conservation and community well-being. He also added that UST was previously honoured with the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association Award (2023) for its CSR efforts in Hyderabad.
