Uttam to head panel on new ration cards

The Government of Telangana has set up a Cabinet Sub Committee to oversee the distribution of new ration cards. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued an order (GO RT No: 1071) dated August 8, 2024, regarding this. The Cabinet Sub Committee consists of Civil Supplies & Irrigation Minister Nalamada Uttam Kumar Reddy who is its Chairman and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy as its members. The Principal Secretary of Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Department will be the Convener of the above Sub-Committee. The Cabinet Sub Committee will recommend the eligibility criteria and modalities for issuing new food security (ration) and health cards to the government.
