International Masters Tennis players CBS Vara Prasad and Dr S Ramakrishna duo won the Men’s-75 category doubles title in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Masters tournaments being conducted at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) on the premises of Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium in Vijayawada on Thursday. The duo beat Laxman Ambulkar and Kantilal Punmiya with 6-0, 6-0.
In the Men’s-70 category, Anne Ratnakar Rao and VLSN Raju won the championship and Dosa Rama Rao and CR Gangadhara Rao stood in second place. Also, in the Men’s-65 category, Suresh Alapati and Murthati Suresh duo defeated George Tomas P and Rajendra Singh, 6-2, 6-7(2), 10-7.
In the women’s -35 category, Sowmya Naidu Nagam won the championship while G Aruna Bhaskar stood in second place. In the invitation mixed doubles, Laggani Srinivas and G Arunala Bhaskar duo in first place, and Dipankar Chaki and Nagam Sowmya Naidu in second place.
Later, Joint Transport Commissioner S Venkateswara Rao presented trophies to the winners and runners.
