Varun Tej’s Matka wraps up RFC schedule, new phase in Vizag

Mega Prince Varun Tej is fully immersed in the production of his ambitious Pan-India film Matka, which is making significant progress. Directed by Karuna Kumar and produced by Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments, Matka is shaping up to be Varun Tej’s most expensive and challenging project to date.
The film has recently concluded an extensive and pivotal shooting schedule at RFC. This phase saw the team working in meticulously crafted vintage sets that capture the essence and charm of Vizag from a bygone era. The schedule included the filming of crucial scenes, high-octane action sequences and vibrant retro-themed musical numbers. A new poster from the film showcases Nora Fatehi in a glamorous retro look, elegantly posing in a colorful pub setting. Known for her exceptional dance skills, Nora will shine in the retro songs choreographed by Jani Master, promising to highlight her dancing prowess.
Currently, the production has shifted to a new schedule in Vizag, progressing rapidly. Varun Tej is tackling one of the most demanding roles of his career, requiring multiple makeovers as the narrative spans 24 years, from 1958 to 1982. Meenakshi Chaudhary also stars in the film, which is anticipated to be a landmark project in Varun Tej’s career, thanks to its high production values and the authentic recreation of vintage Vizag.
